The Essence of Joy sculpture, a metal Tree sculpture on a large beautiful specimen from Minas Gerais in Brazil of Quartz Crystals with inclusions of elongated pistachio green Epidote Crystals within its natural matrix. Stones added to the piece are golden Pyrite cubes, Blue Kyanite, Amethyst, and Tourmalated Quartz. The blend of color of the sculpture is mainly copper with black. Overall size of sculpture is 8 h x 10 w x 7d inches, the black oval wood base adds approx 1" in height.

The title, Essence of Joy, is about the legend/lore of Epidote in Quartz. It is a reminder that ones life dreams and inspirations may take time and patience, and along the way, take the moment to see the beauty that surrounds you and in yourself. There are always bumps in the road of life and instead of focusing on imperfections, see the glass half full and enhance those positive traits you have, in turn, this will often bring more of the same into your life. The other minerals added are simply to add a bit more protection from unwanted energies and enjoy the balance of serenity in your life. Reach for your dreams in a joyous way.

This piece was originally created in 2018 and has been revised by adding Pyrite. Will just say, it made a huge difference in how this piece presents itself. Yes, artists can make mistakes too.
