There are a few legends about Cottonwood Trees. There is one in particular that I found enchanting, as I gaze at the night sky and marvel at all the stars. The Night Spirit hailed to the Wind Spirit, asking for assistance in filling the sky with more stars. The Wind Spirit stirred, breaking the branches and twigs of the Cottonwood Tree. When the branches fell to the ground, stars shot out of the tree into the sky.  You may find the shadow of that star where it once was if you break a twig at the right spot. A short but sweet story for those stargazers, now you know how there are so many beautiful stars in the night sky. Created in 2019.

The LED wood base light comes with a generous 6 foot cord with on/off in line switch, 110v, white C7 LED bulb included (easily replaceable!).

The Loveland High Plains Arts Council in Loveland, Colorado is an amazing organization, managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is supported by hundreds of extraordinary community volunteers and contributes a great deal to many in the community. It is a private non-profit organization, established in 1984 for the purpose of promoting sculptural arts for the cultural and economic benefit of the entire community.  The proceeds generated from the annual Sculpture in the Park show go towards the purchase of sculptures for Benson Sculpture Garden as well as towards the funding of park capital improvements and landscaping.

This extraordinary collection of art is situated around a lagoon in the midst of trees, flowers, and natural habitat areas. With the Rocky Mountains as a majestic backdrop, Benson Sculpture Garden has been described as "one of the most unique sculpture gardens in the nation".
